All About Mrs. P

My name is Denise Petrucci and this is my 14th year teaching here at the Sheehan School in Westwood.  I taught Kindergarten for the first 12 years here.  I moved up to first grade last year.  Prior to that I taught in Wayland, MA for 8 years, in Kindergarten and First Grade.

I received my BS in Early Childhood Education and my Master's in Education with a specialization in Curriculum & Instruction: Literacy from Lesley College.  I continue to take classes and attend workshops to keep up with the latest trends and recommendations in Education.

I have been married for 19 years this fall and I have 2 daughters, both teenagers now.  I also have 2 cats, named Hannah and Stripe and a Russian tortoise named Shelly.  The newest addition to my family are our two puppies that are 13 weeks old - Mousse (as in the Chocolate Dessert) and Cannoli.
